A Handjob — also written Hand Job — is a sex act, a type of masturbation, involving a person stimulating the penis and/or scrotum of another person by using the hand(s).
Mind that a Handjob can also be done by oneself, which would qualify as an Auto-Handjob or Self-Handjob but commonly it’s then rather called wanking, jerking off, jacking off, or fapping.

In any case, the main goal of a Handjob is to prompt an erection of the penis for sexual pleasure and sexual arousal of the receiver, usually followed by an orgasm and subsequent ejaculation.
Giving a Handjob is usually done as sexual foreplay or as a means of having non-penetrative sex. In male-female interaction it may be an alternative to penile-vaginal intercourse in order to avoid sexually transmitted infections (although the hands need to be kept clean before and afterwards), to avoid pregnancy, or to preserve virginity.
