Thai Sib Sen - Sen Nanthakrawat

Sen Nanthakrawat is one of the ten primary Thai Sib Sen Energy Lines as known in Thai Massage (Nuad Thai) and Thai Yoga (Reusi Dat Ton), primarily related to the functioning of genital and lower excretion organs, and notably associated with elimination and detoxification.

You will find Nanthakrawat also being referred to as Nantagrawad, Kangku, Tawatharee, and Sukumang. As for the Thai Four Elements, Sen Nanthakrawat is associated with the Wind Element.

In fact, Sen Nanthakrawat comprises of two separate, distinct Energy Lines:

  • Sen Sikhini which starts about three thumbs distance below the navel (umbilicus) and runs to/through the kidneys, bladder and urethra (for both men and women), and through the prostate gland for men;
  • Sen Sukhumang which also starts about three thumbs distance below the navel but runs over the colon to the anus.

Therapeutic Indications

The therapeutic indications for Sen Nanthakrawat are hernia, frequent urination, impotence i.e. erectile dysfunction, infertility, issues with the ovaries, uterus or prostate, orgasmic disorders, premature ejaculation, irregular menstruation, uterine bleeding, urinary retention, diarrhea, and abdominal pains.
