Koh Tao, also spelled Ko Tao – meaning “Turtle Island” in Thai – is a popular island and tourist destination in Thailand. Located at the Western shore of the Gulf of Thailand, this island is about 21 km², much smaller compared to the other popular islands nearby – Koh Phangan (125 km²) and Koh Samui (228 km²).
Even though it’s small, this island is quite popular and an important diving destination because of its amazing coral reefs that are home to a big variety of colorful fishes and other sea animals. So, no wonder the island has about 40 diving schools and is a sought-after international destination to get a PADI diving certification.
On Ko Tao one can find options of accommodations and restaurants for every taste and budget. What you cannot find so easily are Thai Massage courses on Koh Tao, funny enough. However, if you’re looking for Yoga classes or even Yoga Teacher Training, you will find some good options.
Below a list with the Yoga studios, Resorts or even Dive Schools that offer daily Yoga classes, workshops, retreats and/or teacher training on Koh Tao:[Read More...]
