Tantric Cuddling is simply about two individuals who cuddle the Tantric way. That is, it combines the intimacy of traditional cuddling, typically either lying in spooning (big spoon/little spoon) or belly-to-belly position, with Tantric principles.

The “Tantric way” means that the participants mindfully focus on gentle touch and energy flow, synchronized breathing, deep presence and awareness, and physical, emotional, and spiritual closeness.
In a belly-to-belly position (i.e., face-to-face), Tantric Cuddling can be combined with Tantric Eye-Gazing, the Tantric Hands-on-Heart ritual, and Chakra Activation.
It’s thought that Tantric Cuddling can increase intimacy, trust, body awareness, and physical, emotional, and spiritual connection/bonding, while supporting stress, anxiety, emotional, and trauma release.
Cuddle sessions are consensual, either sexual or non-sexual, and include nurturing touch such as holding, being hold, embracing, stroking, and hair-play.

Typically, cuddling will take place on a bed, couch, or on a floor mat/mattress. Depending on the situation, intention, or what has been consented to, the participants/partners will keep their clothes on, or alternatively disrobe down to their underwear, or are entirely naked.
Although spooning and lying belly-to-belly are the most commonly used positions, there are various other techniques of cuddling. Think of positions like holding hands, arms around the shoulders, half-spoon, draped legs, legs entwined, embracing, back-to-back, head in the lap, nesting doll, bear nuzzle, butt pillowing, pancake plank, heartbeat hug, among others.
