The Thai Healing Art Institute, also known as the Boulder Thai Massage School, was founded in 2014 and is an official branch from The Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society. It is currently the only Thai Massage School in the USA that is certified by the Thai government.
About the School
The directors of the school are two Thai natives, Natnicha Lappichate who lives in Boulder, and Kawintra Lappichate, who is based in Bangkok. Their main instructor and adviser, an expert on Thai Traditional Medicine and Massage with great experience is Tipdonaya Chayamornbunyasit.
The main goal of the school is to promote and support Thai Traditional Medicine and help to spread this ancient knowledge, as well as share other aspects of Thailand’s amazing culture, such as the language and cuisine.
The center offers training courses in Boulder, Colorado and also arranges study trips to Thailand, back to the source, offering in-depth Thai Massage courses there where it all began.
Training Classes
The school combines all levels (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced ) in one Thai Massage training course, following the methods of The Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society.
Training program cycles are organized on 4 weekends, 8 days on Sat and Sun, from 9am-5pm. In these courses you will learn a 2 hours Traditional Thai Massage Routine as well as gain an understanding of the Thai 10 Sen Energy Lines concept. A nice plus is that Thai Culture, Thai language and Thai Cooking classes are also included in this course.
Apart from this, the school also offers Foot Reflexology, Hand Reflexology and Thai Aromatherapy and Herbal Massage training classes on a regular basis. Upon successful completion of any of the courses you will get a certificate from The Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society.
Study Abroad Program
For those interested in studying Thai Massage in Thailand, the institute offers a training program locally in Thailand, such as Thai Herbs & Tok Sen classes or a Thai Medical Massage Course in Bangkok, with the option of including a tour for an extra price.
This study trip is for maximum 9 people, and the prices include the classes, accommodation and transport in Thailand.
