By massaging the prostate, it’s possible for most men to reach a prostate orgasm. Typically, an orgasm will be achieved by doing an Internal Prostate Massage, applied either with the fingers or with sex toys i.e., prostate massagers. Some men also attain prostate orgasms through anal intercourse or by having an External Prostate Massage.
During a prostate orgasm, the penis may remain flaccid or only semi-erect. Actually, it typically depends on also having the penis manipulated during a session, if the penis will be erect or not, although sexual arousal during a Prostate Massage may spontaneously lead to an erect penis.
At any rate, prostate orgasms are also known as P-Spot orgasms or Male G-Spot orgasms because of the similarities in intensity with G-Spot orgasms in women. It’s common to refer to the P-Spot (the prostate) as the “G-Spot for men” or “Sacred Spot for men.”
Accounts from men who have experienced prostate orgasms generally describe it as being stronger, more intense, more pleasurable, with a longer duration, and more widespread through the body than penile orgasms. This latter whole-body experience is also known as a full body orgasm.
In addition, during a prostate orgasm the number of muscle contractions compared to a penile orgasm differences. That is, a penile orgasm usually involves four to eight pelvic contractions, but a prostate orgasm can involve up to twelve contractions.
Prostate orgasms may also be a means to achieve multiple orgasms (also known as sequential orgasms) because they often require a shorter recovery (refractory) period. It means that some men can experience multiple prostate orgasms in a single session, plus — if desired — a standard penile orgasm at the end of a session.
In addition, prostate orgasms may be ejaculatory (“leaking” clear or milky prostatic fluid) or non-ejaculatory (a so-called “dry” orgasm). In fact, while some men experience significant release of prostatic fluid, others may have a prostate orgasm with little to no ejaculation of prostatic fluid.
Mind that aiming for prostate orgasms can also play a deliberate role in semen retention practices. That is, whether ejaculatory or not, prostatic fluid doesn’t contain sperm cells, hence, men can experience the pleasure of a sexual orgasm without “losing valuable spermatic life force energy,” the latter a typical Tantric and Taoist concept.
According to Tantric and Taoist ideas, non-ejaculatory full body orgasms distribute sexual energy through the entire body and transform it into other “essences,” thought to be crucial for overall health, longevity, and spiritual attainment.
Therefore, it’s a common goal in both Tantric and Taoist sexual practices to control semen ejaculation and have internal full body orgasms instead of penile orgasms.
Having said that, it’s important to note that a prostate orgasm can also trigger a classical penile orgasm that contains semen (including sperm cells), even without having touched or manipulated the penis.
Then, there are also men who have described a so-called Super Orgasm (Super-O), which seems to feel like multiple, continuous warm waves of orgasms felt through the entire body, which causes the body to shudder.
Accounts of the duration of a Super-O orgasm range from “a bit longer” to “several minutes longer” than traditional penile orgasms, aside from descriptions like “total bliss,” “heavenly,” “timeless,” “transcendental,” and “completely revitalized,” among other superlatives.
Prostate orgasms may be accompanied by a penile orgasm, a phenomenon that’s called a combined orgasm. In fact, many men will have both the penis and the prostate stimulated simultaneously, which can result in a “blended” orgasmic climax. A combined orgasm, just like an isolated prostate orgasm, is likewise experienced as significantly more intense and lasting longer than only a penile orgasm.
