Couples Massage — sometimes also called Partner Massage — is a relaxing massage experience for couples or partners. The partners or couple may be either permanent or occasional romantic partners or perhaps rather friends or family members.

The massage session itself may be an erotic massage (or sensual massage) or a non-erotic massage (or sexual massage) given either by one massage therapist or alternatively by two therapists at the same time.
Typically, couples massages are full body massages, although it’s certainly possible to have a Couples Foot Massage, Couples facial Massage, or Couples Head Massage, for instance.
Mind that Couples Massage can consist of basically any kind of Full Body Massage, such as Thai Massage, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Hot Stones Massage, Tantric Massage, or Sensual Oil Massage.
Often the massage room will have a kind of romantic ambiance, and the massage practitioner or massage establishment will offer some special items such as champagne, wine, chocolates, juice, and/or fruit. Sometimes, the couple will also have access to a shower or bathtub.
Couples Massage by Two Massage Practitioners
When Couples Massage is given by two massage therapists, it’s sometimes also called a Four Hands Massage, although in reality each receiver will get only “two hands,” that is, each massage practitioner will treat one of the partners.
As a rule, couples will stay close together during the treatment and usually they can maintain a visual and physical connection (they may look at each other or hold hands, for instance). Hence, the session takes place in the same room, and the partners are often lying on separate side-by-side massage tables, although they may also lie together on a large massage bed or mattress (either raised or placed on the floor).
Couples massages are rather popular as a means to bringing partners intimately and emotionally closer together through the means of having a common pleasant and relaxing experience.
Couples Massage by One Massage Practitioner

When Couples Massage is given by only one masseur or masseuse, it means that the partners are massaged one after the other or massaged alternately. In other cases, the massage therapist may be situated between the partners while massaging them synchronously, one receiver with the left hand and the other receiver with the right hand.
In addition, it’s not uncommon that Couples Massage with one massage practitioner is rather implemented as a workshop during which the practitioner demonstrates various massage techniques on both of the partners, alternating, so that one and then the other partner may observe how things are done to later practice the techniques themselves during the session.
The goal of the session then is rather to teach people how to massage and give pleasure to each other, often also aiming at recharging emotional or sexual energies and strengthen the bond and intimacy between partners, benefiting their relationships sexually, emotionally, and spiritually.
