Some massage service providers mention that they offer Naturist Massage (aka Nudist Massage) and/or Naked Massage (aka Nude Massage). Although the terms mentioned are sometimes used as synonyms — by both service providers and clients — there are actually important differences between Naturist Massage and Naked Massage.

Now, Naturist Massage — or Nudist Massage — is based on ideas that emerged in the Naturist movement, the latter being a social and cultural movement i.e. lifestyle that embraces complete body acceptance and social nudity, typically in natural settings.
In the context of massage therapy, it means that during a massage session both the receiver and masseuse/masseur will be entirely undressed, that is, in the nude (naked), and drapings will be absent.
Naturist Massage is usually a Full Body Massage, but not necessarily a Sexual Massage or Sensual Erotic Massage, such as Tantric Massage, Erotic Oil Massage, or FBSM Massage. That is, Naturist massage offerings may likewise consist of a “regular” massage, such as Sports Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, or Swedish Massage (Classic Massage).
By contrast, Naked Massage — or Nude Massage — usually means that the client will be naked while receiving a massage, but not the massage practitioner. This is of course a rather important difference with aforementioned Naturist Massage, and it’s something clients need to be aware of to avoid being disappointment (if they would’ve expected that the practitioner would likewise be in the nude).

Another difference with Naturist Massage is that Naked Massage usually consists of some type of Sensual Erotic Massage. Theoretically, it may also be a regular massage treatment (i.e. non-sexual, non-erotic), but this is very uncommon.
However, mind that some massage practitioners will likewise be partly or completely unclothed during the session, but typically they would explicitly mention this in the description of their massage treatment modality. In fact, if during a Naked Massage both the giver and receiver are in the nude, it can actually be synonymized with Naturist Massage.
Another interesting observation here is that massage modalities like Body-to-Body Massage (B2B) and Nuru Massage are by default massages in which both the receiver and giver are in the nude (or at least almost unclothed). Nevertheless, we wouldn’t normally designate B2B Massage and Nuru Massage as a Naturist Massage or Naked Massage, although they actually are.
The difference here is that Naturist massages and Naked massages are usually massages that you don’t need to give unclothed. It’s an option. Yet, B2B and Nuru sessions are naturally and intrinsically given in the nude. Hence, funny enough, B2B and Nuru factually fit perfectly well as a massage modality for the Naturist movement.
All in all, as we have seen, in some cases Naked Massage (Nude Massage) technically equals Naturist Massage (Nudist Massage), and B2B and Nuru massages may likewise be designated as either a type of Naked Massage or Naturist Massage.
