The majority of online massage training course providers in the USA is aimed at so-called Continuing Education. Continuing education is most of the time mandatory for massage therapists active in the U.S., which means they need to continue studying a certain number of hours throughout their practitioner careers to be able to keep their massage therapy license.

Depending on the U.S. State a therapist practices in, a certain number of Continuing Education Units (CEU) is needed to be obtained in a certain amount of time, let’s say every year or every two or four years, and so on.
