What Is Chi Nei Ching?

Chi Nei Ching, not to be confused with Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage, was developed by Master Mantak Chia and William Wei and uses several massage techniques with the goal to unblock Qi (Chi or Life Force Energy), release tight tendons and muscles, and alleviate neck, back, spine, pelvis and joint pains.

In contrast to Chi Nei Tsang and Karsai Nei Tsang, which predominantly focus on organs and meridians deep in the body, Chi Nei Ching focuses more on the meridians, tendons and muscles that lay closer to the body’s surface.

Chi Nei Ching is a true blend that teaches how to use theoretical and practical knowledge of Western and Eastern anatomy, the ten Thai Sib Sen Energy Lines, and the twelve muscle-tendon meridians of Chinese acupuncture in massage therapy.

Techniques used in Chi Nei Ching are the so-called Thai hammering massage technique of Tok Sen, which directs vibrational energy deep into the fascia and muscles, and Meridian Detox Therapy, which includes Cupping, Skin Massage and Gua Sha to clear blood stagnation, promote metabolism, and prevent and treat acute illnesses.
