Tsubo Therapy and Acupressure Shiatsu

Tsubo Therapy, sometimes also called Acupressure Shiatsu, was developed by Katsusuke Serizawa and focuses on manipulating the Tsubo pressure points (acupoints) that lie along the Ki Life Force Meridians.

As the name of the treatment already indicates, it’s not only about Shiatsu Therapy, but rather about any means that is able to stimulate or manipulate the Tsubos. Think of treatments like Moxibustion, Acupuncture, electrical devices, or Acupressure Massage, among others.

Katsusuke’s research and publications emphasize the locations of the Tsubos, how to find them, the change in electrical resistance of the skin over Tsubo points, and the effectiveness of Shiatsu Massage Therapy in relation to the Tsubos.
