In this post, you’ll find an overview of sexological bodywork treatment service providers and practitioners in and around Greater London, UK.

Sexological Bodywork™ is a somatic sex coaching treatment modality with roots in Taoist and Tantric philosophical concepts and Asian massage and bodywork practices, combining contemporary Western massage techniques, sex therapy, and scientific and somatic insights in treating sexual dysfunctions and disorders, sexual trauma, and intimacy and relationships issues.

The practices are aimed at supporting people to resolve sexual inhibitions and trauma, and (re)connect fully with their bodies and emotions, allowing new experiences with bodily sensations, sensuality, and sexuality. Sexological Bodywork utilizes a trauma-informed and sex-positive approach to work hands-on/practically with the client’s body, emotions, and sensual erotic experiences.

The work consists of sex coaching and counseling and examining and reflecting together with the client on their sexual concerns and experiences. Furthermore, it actively engages in sex education, that is, it explores and shares knowledge about sexual issues, such as sexual anatomy, gender identity, and gender expression, sexual orientation, forms of arousal, sex drive, and sexual orgasms.

In addition, Sexological Bodywork has an explicit somatic focus, that is, it’s sex coaching and sex education through bodywork, not only Talk Therapy, and includes body awareness training, mindful touch through various massage techniques, Breathwork, Sensual Erotic Massage, Genital Massage and Genital Mapping, Pelvic Release Bodywork, Sexual De-Armouring, Anal Massage, Genital Scar Tissue Remediation, and Orgasmic Yoga, among other bodywork, depending on what a client needs and on what they consent to.

The many health benefits associated with the modality include emotional and trauma release, increased sexual arousal and libido, experiencing orgasms more intensely and authentically, alleviation or healing of erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, pain during sexual intercourse, and physical blockages and general pains, regaining sexual function and the ability to feel pleasure, understanding anal health and genital pleasure, enhancement of couples’ sex life, and self-acceptance of one’s own body, sexual orientation and gender, among others.

A practitioner of Sexological Bodywork works with all kinds of people, from all walks of life, including those who are engaged in kink, fetish, or BDSM practices and/or with those who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. Sessions usually take between two and three hours. Although results could be obtained after only one session, it’s common to engage with a sexological bodyworker over an extended period of time, spanning multiple sessions to reap more lasting results.
