The term Tantrassage, a combination of the words Tantra and Massage, is an outdated term for what today is called Tantra Massage or Tantric Massage. The term was primarily used between 2005 and 2015.

The idea of using Tantrassage as a new term for a massage modality was to emphasize that a Tantra Massage treatment is a massage performed from out Tantric concepts, focusing on sexual, emotional, and spiritual issues, besides simply being a pleasurable full body massage experience.
In fact, as Tantra Massage gradually got traction globally, it needed to be explained. Massage, in modern times, has the connotation of either relaxation or physical therapy, and the notion of integrating Indian Tantra philosophy and concepts into an embodied experience required a whole new realm of public consciousness.
Today, for the general public, and albeit its commercialization as a Sensual Erotic Oil Massage, it has become more or less clear that a Tantra Massage addresses the person as a complete being, integrating physical, emotional, sexual and spiritual aspects into a holistic experience.
