Datemaxxing is a dating strategy that refers to the practice of maximizing the number of dates one goes on.
It’s simply thought that the more people one interacts with or dates, the higher the statistical chance of finding a desirable partner. Hence, dating is seen as a “numbers game,” and focuses — at least initially — on quantity over quality.
It also implies that one needs to be less selective in the initial screening to generate as many first dates as possible, to only afterwards filter based on the actual in-person interaction.
In addition, it’s thought one should register for as many online dating sites or agencies as possible, and optimize one’s dating profiles, perhaps using AI-generated photos, flattering and professional high-quality photos, or hiring professional consultancy to attract the maximum number of matches.
Improving one’s social and conversational skills, and even following specific scripts or techniques to maximize the quantity of in-person dates is also part of datemaxxing.
However, some “maxxers” consider the datemaxxing practice as exactly the opposite. That is, they reason that the “numbers game” leads to many superficial first dates that go absolutely nowhere, and therefore think it’s better to be rather selective from the start and hence save time and frustration.
