In the context of BDSM practices, Medical Play — or MedPlay — is predominantly a form of consensual fetishistic roleplaying and fantasy in which one or all of the partakers experience sexual pleasure from scenarios that include objects, equipment, and practices of a medical or clinical nature.
As a rule, the partners in Medical Play participate in a medical scene or medical environment —like simulating a medical clinic or in a hospital — in which they would assume the roles of doctors, nurses, and patients to engage in medical fetishes.
As in many BDSM, kink, and fetish activities, the acts don’t necessarily involve sex or working with the genitals or other erogenous zones, but they do prompt sexual arousal for one or all of the participants.
As there are many types of medical procedures and accompanying equipment, the variety of medical fetishes and accompanying scenes are virtually limitless.
Think here of medical uniforms, devices and restraints, anesthesia, respiratory procedures, rectal, gynecological and urological examinations, catheterizations, enemas, injections, suppository insertions, Prostate Massage, straitjackets, and dental objects and furniture, to give some examples.
