We’d like to think that we help people to help themselves. At any rate, it’s one of our main goals with the website, that is, with the articles, eBooks and video workshops we publish.

An important aim of ours is sharing comprehensive, trustworthy information about massage and bodywork treatment modalities without exaggerating the “magnificent health benefits.” The thing is that there’s a lot of misinformation around and too many treatment providers offer their services as “the thing that solves all problems,” which inevitably leads to disappointments among clients.

Moreover, you’ll see that there are often quite some misconceptions about the modalities offered, even among professional practitioners. It’s not uncommon that they don’t know the history and development of their specialty (or are misinformed about it), or the various styles, goals and applications, and in addition they’re trained through a certain lineage which created a particular taste, concept, and approach of the treatment they offer.

So, what we’re trying to do is to always look at therapies from out different angles, lineages, and applications, and give a more varied, objective description of what exactly certain treatment modalities are, what they aim at, and what they can (possibly) do for people. We think this can help people who seek treatment to understand what they can expect and subsequently make the right provider choice.

Apart from articles and eBooks about treatment modalities we also publish what we call “treatment providers listings.” Those are listings or overviews of treatment service providers in various cities and/or countries. We list providers per treatment modality, such as Tantra Massage, Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Nuru Massage, De-Armouring, Prostate Massage, or Chi Nei Tsang, and so on. This we see as helpful for those who seek the appropriate therapist, masseur, or practitioner.

We also publish city or country based “training providers listings” of the many massage and bodywork modalities around, which serve as overviews of available trainers, training courses, workshops, and classes. This we do as a support for those people who seek professional development or continuing education, that is, those who want to become therapists or masseurs, or who want to further their knowledge.

And last but not least, we also publish so-called “self-help” eBooks and video workshops through which people can learn to exercise a modality by themselves. Think of Thai Self-Massage, Thai Yoga Self-Stretching (Reusi Dat Ton), Ayurvedic Dinacharya, or Thai Dhammanamai, among others. You can find those publications in our store.

All by all, we feel that people are active agents and rather than doing things for other people and deciding what’s good for them, it’s better to give them the support, tools and resources necessary to potentially do things on their own and make the right decisions by and for themselves.
