Healing Love through Tao | Taoist Sexual Alchemy

Although embedded in the wider context of ancient Taoist Sexual Practices, Healing Love has been structured and systematized by Master Mantak Chia, who made it into a distinct healing modality. It’s part of Mantak Chia’s Universal Healing Tao (UHT) system.

The core of the Healing Love modality is the circulation, cultivation, and transformation of sexual energy, also known as Jing. It’s the creative, generative energy which can be transformed into Chi (Qi or vital life force energy) and Shen (spiritual energy).

Healing Love can be manifested as a process called Sexual Alchemy (or Taoist Inner Alchemy), which is based on the idea of circulating sexual energy (and thus the chance to transform it into Chi and Shen) through the Dantian of the Microcosmic Orbit, instead of wasting it through ejaculation (for men) or menstruation (for women).

In practice it means that — when cultivated and circulated instead of wasted — Jing sexual energy (or sexual essence) can transform to vital life energy (Chi) nourishing the organs, brain, glands, bone marrrow and general health, resulting in well-being and longevity. Moreover, it can be transformed into Shen spiritual energy enabling personal and spiritual growth.

Mantak Chia teaches techniques (such as self-massage, Yoni Egg use, meditation, and herbal recipes, among others), claimed to have been developed by Taoist masters, for the conservation (storage), circulation and transformation of Jing, as well as to increase vitality and spiritual development, and help to harmonize and balance female Yin energy and masculine Yang energy.
