Wat Marp Jan is a Buddhist monastery in the tradition of Ajahn Chah and the so-called Thai Forest Tradition. The current abbot and main teacher, Ajahn Anan, continues to encourage his monks to wander in remote forests and practice meditation in simple conditions. Wat Marp Jan is open to all practitioners from across the world. Those interested in Vipassana meditation retreats for multiple days (up to 7 days) should contact the monastery. The registration is free of charge.
