
Within the context of conscious body listening (conscious body awareness), vitality attunement is part of the six body attunement domains and is about paying conscious attention to the state of your internal energy system.
It’s about cultivating energy awareness, which includes noting if you feel tiredness or fatigue, or low, medium, or high energy levels, when and in what situations.
Think about asking yourself the following types of questions: Do I wake up in the morning feeling tired or rested? When I walk five kilometers, how do I feel? At what time of the day do I experience the least or the most amount of energy? How do I feel after eating? What happens with my energy after working an hour behind the computer?
Your energy levels can be influenced by many different things, which include the quality and amount of rest and sleep you have, a sedentary or active lifestyle, the quality, amount, and types of food you consume, pleasant or unpleasant activities, and physical, emotional, or mental overexertion, to give you the most common factors.
The point is that while you’re engaged in bodily activities, try to keep an eye on (be consciously aware of) your energy levels. It’s part of what you sense, and it can help you to resolve structural fatigue or low energy levels.
