A Sugar Daddy is typically an older, well-to-do man who provides for a younger and attractive woman, the latter called Sugar Baby.

Although the word “sugar” originally refers to money, a Sugar Daddy may also (or only) supply goods and services. For instance, he may pay for the Sugar Baby’s living expenses and study fees, or it may involve introducing the Sugar Baby to specific social or business circles and helping her to “get on in life.”
This mutually beneficial relationship between Sugar Daddy and Sugar Baby is known as Sugar Dating or Sugaring. It may also involve a Sugar Mommy, that is, “sugaring” is not exclusively a relationship between older men and younger women, but can also be about older women and younger men.
