The practices of disabilitymaxxing and weirdmaxxing have two distinct meanings:
The first meaning involves men looking for dates or partners who have either disabilities or alternatively expose extreme “weirdness,” using the rationale that these women have “less dating or market value.”
Hence, this would supposedly mean less competition from other men with regard to these types of women and thus better chances to score a date. By the way, it’s obvious that there are similarities with both uglymaxxing and grannymaxxing.
The second meaning of disabilitymaxxing and weirdmaxxing is to emphasize your existing disability or eccentricity, or to pretend to be (or in some way become) disabled or unusual, in order to increase your attractiveness to certain women who might feel sorry for you and subsequently choose to date you or begin a relationship.
Interesting note here is that disabilitymaxxing has been featured in the famous movie There’s Something About Mary (starring Cameron Diaz as Mary, Ben Stiller as Ted, Matt Dillon as Pat, Lee Evans as Tucker/Norm, and others).
In the movie, the character Tucker (who’s actually Norm, a pizza delivery guy) uses a fake disability “to win over the girl.” In fact, Norm adopts the persona of “Tucker,” a British architect, using crutches and braces and faking a spinal injury to get closer to Mary.
