Therapymaxxing is the practice of optimizing one’s emotional and mental health through therapeutic treatments.

That is, the focus is on utilizing various mental health resources — such as individual or group therapy, talk therapy, mindfulness practices, or psychiatric care — to the maximum extent possible.

In fact, therapymaxxing is thought to be for involuntary celibate men who suffer from psychological or psychiatric issues, which subsequently impede them from scoring a date or finding a suitable romantic or sexual partner.

Psychological health conditions thought to be eligible for therapymaxxing would be depression, autism spectrum disorders, a history of sexual abuse, a lack of social and/or flirting skills and/or social awkwardness, addiction, schizophrenia, lack of self-confidence, dementia, PTSD, ADHD, AVPD, schizotypal disorder, personality disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, severe (social) anxiety disorders, and overall high neuroticism, among other issues.

Therapymaxxing can also be “less clinical,” which would make it overlap with personalitymaxxing, mindmaxxing, and mentalmaxxing.

That is, for some men therapymaxxing can mean giving explicit focus on finding inner peace and clarity, intellectual growth, regulating emotions, and building mental/emotional resilience, thereby shifting away from only focusing on physical appearance or attractiveness as the sole means to success in finding a romantic/sexual relationship.
